Philip Zhang, a partner in the New York Office of Zhong Lun Law Firm, was recently appointed as the Vice Chair of the China Committee of American Bar Association (ABA), with a one-year term from August 10, 2014 to August 2, 2015.
The ABA is the largest voluntary bar association of lawyers in the U.S., which is dedicated to "the advancement of the science of jurisprudence, the promotion of the administration of justice and a uniformity of legislation throughout the country”.
The China Committee supports ABA members with interest in China-related legal matters. The China Committee’s work in the U.S. and China includes review, analysis, commentary and information-sharing on law, legal practice and related policy, as well as social and business networking events.
Zhong Lun Law Firm established its New York Office in April 2013. Located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the office is led by Philip Zhang and T.K. Chang, two senior lawyers who have cumulatively over 50 years of private practice experience with leading international law firms. The office is also supported by over 40 partners in Zhong Lun’s worldwide offices who hold U.S. law degrees, and who would be able to provide clients with seamless round-the-clock legal service.
Philip Zhang’s appointment as the Vice Chair of the ABA China Committee is another milestone in Zhong Lun’s international strategy to build a global brand and to become one of the premier law firms in the world.
