Zhong Lun Donates to Quake-stricken Areas
On May 12, 2008 the deadliest earthquake in the history of China hit Southwest China, destroying more than 70,000 lives and leaving millions of people homeless.
We acted promptly upon learning of the devastating news. The firm and staff donated RMB894,542 to the victims through the China Red Cross Society and other charitable institutions. In addition to contributing financially, our staff donated tents, rain boots and milk powder for earthquake victims.
Later in December 2008, we set aside RMB350,000 to establish a legal aid center in the City of Mianzhu, one of the worst hit areas of the earthquake. The center provides free legal services to earthquake victims.
