Scott Yu’s practice focuses on the cross-border M&A transactions, anti-trust, FDI and corporate matters. Before joining Zhong Lun, he worked with a major international law firm for six years and acted as the lead counsel in a number of mega sized acquisitions and joint venture projects.

Scott Yu has extensive experiences in advising foreign investors across various industries and sectors on corporate law and competition law issues in their investments and operations in China. He was named as one of the Top 20 Client Choice Lawyers in China by Asian Legal Business in 2012.

o Advised Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. in its ¥ 2.7 billion joint venture project with Cummins Inc. for diesel engine production, and its ¥ 5.6 billion joint venture project with Daimler AG for truck business;
o Advised Areva T&D Holding SA on its ¥ 1.4 billion million joint venture in Guangdong, China with a Chinese listed company;
o Advised Volkswagen Financial Services China on its daily corporate matters;
o Advised Stanley Tools Inc. in its PRC restructuring and acquisition of two private owned companies;
o Advised Bridgestone Corporation in its global sale of steel wire business to Bekaert involving a number of Chinese subsidiaries;
o Advised Parker-Hannifin in its acquisition of equity in joint venture from Chinese partner, and establishment of new joint venture in Shenyang, China.
